Flour trucks are specialized vehicles designed for the transportation and pneumatic unloading of dry mixtures. With the increase in military equipment transportation, there is a noticeable shortage of qualified truck-trailer drivers, making it more relevant to transport flour not in semi-trailers, but in flour trucks mounted on truck chassis with a gross weight of 33-35 tons.
The design of flour truck bodies is largely determined by the properties of flour. Flour is a free-flowing, highly hygroscopic, and caking-prone cargo, and depending on the milling grade, it has a fine particle size. Flour also has a relatively low density, making it more cost-effective to transport in large volumes starting from 24 cubic meters.

Flour transport tanks are typically made from aluminum or stainless steel with high levels of chromium and nickel. In most cases, the tank has a cylindrical or V-shaped cross-section. Typically, the tanks are divided into multiple sections, allowing for the transport of different grades and types of flour. Each section is equipped with a separate top hatch for loading and a conical discharge chute at the bottom.
Older, low-cost flour truck models use gravity-based loading and unloading. These models are inexpensive, but gravity unloading is too slow and does not allow for complete tank emptying.
In recent years, flour trucks with forced loading and unloading have gained popularity. These trucks use compressors for efficient unloading. Depending on the model, the compressors can be powered by an electric motor or directly from the power take-off (PTO) shaft.
