Flour trucks are specialized vehicles designed for the transportation and pneumatic unloading of dry mixtures. With the growth of military equipment transportation, there is a noticeable shortage of qualified truck-trailer drivers, which makes the transportation of flour in flour trucks mounted on truck chassis with a gross weight of 33-35 tons more relevant than using semi-trailers.
The design of flour truck bodies is largely determined by the properties of flour. Flour is a free-flowing, highly hygroscopic, and caking-prone cargo, with fine particle size depending on the milling grade. Flour also has a relatively low density, making it more cost-effective to transport in large volumes, starting from 24 cubic meters.
Key Features of Flour Transport Tanks:
- Tank sealing
- Capability for complete emptying
- Corrosion resistance
- Safety of materials in contact with flour
Flour transport tanks are typically made of aluminum or stainless steel with a high chromium and nickel content. In most cases, the tank has a cylindrical or V-shaped cross-section. Typically, the tanks are divided into several compartments, allowing the transport of different grades and types of flour. Each compartment is equipped with a separate top hatch for loading and a conical discharge chute at the bottom.
Older, low-cost flour truck models use gravity-based loading and unloading. These models are inexpensive but gravity unloading is too slow and does not allow for complete tank emptying.
Therefore, flour trucks with forced loading and unloading systems, operated by a compressor, have become more popular in recent years. Compressors can be powered by an electric motor or directly from the power take-off (PTO) shaft, depending on the model.
We supply flour trucks on KAMAZ, MAZ, and Chinese chassis across Russia and CIS countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.
