The sludge tanker vehicle solves the problem of transporting and processing drilling waste in the oil and gas industries. Oil and gas sludge is one of the most environmentally aggressive byproducts of oil and gas extraction, continuously generated during production, and requires mandatory processing (continuous pyrolysis), after which it can be used as technical soil for road embankments. The transportation and processing of drilling waste not only protects the environment from the toxic elements it contains but also provides valuable and safe construction materials. The primary method of handling these wastes is the construction of rapidly deployable stations for receiving into temporary reservoirs and further processing of oil sludge.
The main difference between a sludge truck and a regular dump truck is the enclosed body (closed upper platform with a special filling hatch, sealed rear gate, and bottom), as well as protection against the aggressive environment contained in the sludge. The body of the oil sludge carrier truck is made of high-quality structural steel, 6 mm thick, and is modified through a series of modern chemical and technological treatments, giving the steel unique properties for high corrosion resistance. In addition, the body is equipped with a heating system powered by exhaust gases, allowing the oil sludge to be unloaded without problems in cold weather. The sludge trucks are equipped with full-wheel drive for off-road conditions and special hydraulic oil for use in low temperatures. Due to these features, the truck is capable of transporting sludge in harsh northern climates.
