A sludge suction truck is a type of vehicle that uses the vacuum principle of operation. It is used for cleaning sewage or drainage systems from sludge-like substances, and transporting them to disposal sites. Sludge suction equipment can be operated year-round.
Sludge suction trucks differ from septic trucks by:
- An openable tank and a hydraulic lifting mechanism for dump unloading;
- An additional clean water reservoir;
- A water pressure gun for washing off deposits;
- A suction boom for ease of use;
- The pumps used in sludge suction trucks have twice the efficiency, up to 720 m³/h;
- A sludge suction truck can extract waste from depths of up to 8 meters, while septic equipment can only go down to 4 meters.
