Vacuum truck 10m³ on KAMAZ-65115 chassis with clean water compartment
A vacuum truck is a type of equipment that operates using a vacuum principle. It is used for cleaning sewer or drainage systems from sludge (and similar slurry), transporting it to disposal points. The vacuum truck can be operated year-round.
The vacuum truck differs from a cesspool truck by:
- An openable tank and hydraulic unloading mechanism for self-dumping;
- An additional clean water reservoir;
- A water pressure nozzle for washing off deposits;
- A suction arm for ease of use;
- The pumps used in vacuum trucks have twice the efficiency, up to 720 m³/h;
- The vacuum truck can pump out waste from a depth of up to 8 m, while cesspool trucks can only handle up to 4 m.
